ATTENTION MEMBERS: VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
As a member-owner of Alliance Credit Union, you have a voice in the overall governance of the credit union. Alliance is run
by a volunteer Board elected by, and from, the membership. This democratic process ensures the board remains accountable to the membership.
Multiple volunteer positions are now available for 2014. The membership will vote to fill five open seats on the Board of Directors
and three open seats on the Supervisory Committee.
Role of the Board of Directors: Maintain the general direction and control of the credit union. This includes: guiding the organization
to fulfill its purpose; setting policy which guides the affairs of the credit union; and ensuring that polices are carried out in accordance
with applicable provisions of the credit union charter, bylaws, all applicable federal and state laws, sound business practices, and the
needs of the membership.
Role of the Supervisory Committee: Direct internal audit activities designed to determine whether credit union financials are prepared
accurately and verify whether internal controls and policies are maintained and followed.
If you are qualified and interested in these positions there are two ways to run for election:

Apply to the Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee by completing an application. Mail the application and agreement to serve
along with a copy of your resume to the Nominating Committee by December 15, 2013.
To apply to the Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee using the petition process contact the Executive Assistant to the CEO (1.800.232.8669)
and request a petition form. The petition process requires the signatures of 100 members. Any applicant who submits a petition by February 10, 2013
with the required valid signatures will appear on the ballot.
