Alliance Credit Union Wins Best of Silicon Valley Award

San Jose, CALIF?September 23, 2008?Alliance Credit Union was named a winner of the 2008 Metro Best of Silicon Valley Awards. Out of approximately 10,000 votes, Alliance ranked third in the Best Local Bank category. The Metro Silicon Valley newspaper reaches 460,000 readers every month.

?It?s an honor to be selected as a local favorite and we appreciate all of the members who voted and wanted Alliance recognized as a great place to bank,? says Emily Condon, Alliance Credit Union Vice President of Marketing and Retail Delivery. Alliance has made a number of strategic enhancements to its services within the past two years. It added online account opening, a more robust online banking platform and upgraded the mobile banking program in 2007. Two new financial centers also opened their doors, one in Fremont and one in North Carolina to provide more access points. And the Credit Union launched its Visa® credit card program earlier this year to provide a simpler and better-than-market card to its members.

?If you live anywhere in Silicon Valley you can bank with us,? says Condon. ?Even if you?re not close to a financial center, because we?re part of the Shared Branch and Co-OpTM ATM networks, you can do your banking just about anywhere.?

Alliance Credit Union is a not-for-profit community credit union, with open membership for any individual who lives, works or worships in Santa Clara, San Mateo and Alameda counties in California, and New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick counties in North Carolina.
