Under the direct supervision of the Collections Manager, the Collector will be responsible for collection of delinquent
loans utilizing methods of collections allowed and in accordance with federal, state, and credit union regulations governing
debt collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for management of assigned Collection Queue(s)
- Contacts members and discusses the circumstances causing the delinquent status of their loans.
- Works closely with repossession agencies in locating and recovering the Credit Union?s collateral.
- Locates members with whom the Credit Union has lost contact.
- Prepare accounts for small claims, repossession, field investigation, or legal actions.
- Prepare bankruptcy payments for posting.
- Responsible for month-end reports, repossession reports and auto actions reports.
- Send demand notices to members after repossession and after liquidation of collateral.

Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish)
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate adverse action in a tactful manner.
- Must be well organized, detail oriented and have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast environment.
